Safety and Hygiene
The independent dermatologists consulting from ESD are committed to maintaining a COVID-safe environment for all their patients. All practice personnel working at ESD have been fully vaccinated.
Enhanced personal hygiene, increased cleaning and sanitisation throughout our practice
Extra cleaning and sanitisation to high contact areas, including reception, waiting room, treatment and consultation rooms are done throughout the day with hospital grade disinfectants and sanitisers.
General safety rules
- Please do not attend the practice if you are unwell or have cold/flu-like symptoms
- Wash and sanitise your hands regularly and before you enter the practice
- Cover coughs or sneezes with your elbow, not your hands
- Refrain from touching your face unless your hands have been sanitised
Face masks are no longer mandatory at healthcare facilities. Patients may wear a face mask when they visit ESD at their discretion. Wearing a face mask properly can help protect patients, staff and other visitors where physical distancing is sometimes not possible.
Maintain social distancing
The Department of Health recommends washing hands regularly, using hand sanitiser and keeping a safe distance as the most effective way of protecting yourself and others. We suggest where practicable that you abide by the social distancing requirements (1.5 metres).
Less contact at receptionWhen paying, we recommend card payments instead of cash or cheque and we encourage you to use “tap and go” to finalise the payment to reduce as much contact as possible.
Cancellation and appointment reschedulingYour doctor reserves the right to undertake a risk assessment and cancel or reschedule your appointment under certain circumstances or at short notice.
Call Reception on 9389 7333 to reschedule your appointment if you:
- have been unwell or have cold/flu-like symptoms
- have contracted COVID-19
- are awaiting COVID-19 test results
Your appointment with your dermatologist will be rescheduled to their earliest available date.
