Dr Mike Bannister is an independent consulting dermatologist. Dr Bannister graduated from the University of NSW with Honours in 1989. His undergraduate training was at the Royal North Shore Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He also worked in the Emergency Department at Mona Vale Hospital for four years and then spent a year doing cell-based research in psoriasis at Royal North Shore Hospital just prior to his clinical dermatology training.
Dr Bannister completed his postgraduate training in dermatology at Westmead Hospital, Royal Newcastle Hospital, the Skin & Cancer Foundation Darlinghurst and the Prince of Wales Hospital. He is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.
His areas of interest are skin cancer management, psoriasis and eczema.
