DERMATOLOGIST
Dr Anes Yang is an independent consulting dermatologist. Dr Yang is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, and brings a wealth of expertise in both medical and procedural dermatology to her practice. Graduating from the University of New South Wales with a Doctor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Medical Studies, Dr Yang has consistently pursued excellence in her education.
Her passion for public health and medical education led her to complete a Master of Public Health at the University of Sydney. Dr Yang's focus on quality and improvement is evident in her role as the former Chair of the JMO Innovation and Quality Committee for the Agency for Clinical Innovation. Recognising her commitment, she was honoured with a scholarship to the Academy of Emerging Leaders in Patient Safety by the Clinical Excellence Commission.
Dr Yang is dedicated to delivering quality and safe patient care, embodying a compassionate approach to dermatology that actively involves patients in the decision-making process. Building on her interest in dermatology research, she engaged in various clinical trials and obtained a Master of Science, specialising in validating new diagnostic tests for autoimmune bullous diseases.
Her training has been diverse and well-rounded, encompassing some of New South Wales largest hospitals including The John Hunter Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, Liverpool Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
Dr Yang boasts over 25 peer-reviewed journal publications and contributions to a textbook on dermatological diseases in skin of colour. She has presented on both the National and International stage at various dermatology medical conferences. Her commitment to education is evident in her role as an Associate Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney, actively engaging in teaching medical students and junior doctors. Her dedication earned her the Tutor of theYear award from the University.
Beyond her medical pursuits, Dr. Yang is a dog lover who finds joy in travel, cooking for friends, reading, and cake decorating. She is keen on enhancing her proficiency in her mother tongue language, Korean.
With a diverse skill set, Dr. Yang excels in medical and procedural dermatology, demonstrating expertise in skin cancer management, eczema, psoriasis, autoimmune bullous diseases, rosacea, acne, skin of colour, and cosmetic dermatology.
